Akumal Bay is one of the few places in the world where you can swim alongside wild green sea turtles in their natural habitat — no tanks, no theme parks, no trained animals. Yes. Before the tour we'll confirm the final plan together and share the options and pricing with you. On the day of the tour, if you want to change something, ask your guide — they'll check with us and confirm the change along with any additional cost, if applicable.

Pick-up times are planned with you in advance. As local experts we make recommendations based on the site and distance from your hotel — but ultimately you decide. For Chichén Itzá we recommend leaving by 6:30 am to arrive at opening time (around 8:00 am local time — Chichén Itzá is one hour behind the Riviera Maya) and explore before the group tour buses and the midday heat arrive. For other tours we work around your schedule.

Yes. Your guide is dedicated to you, so there's no bus to catch. Please let us know via WhatsApp if you're running behind so we can adjust the day accordingly.

Our guides are hand-picked local experts — people born and raised in the region or in Mexico. They are certified archaeological guides, licensed by the Mexican Ministry of Tourism, with ongoing certifications to maintain it. Every guide also goes through our own selection process focused on knowledge, personality, and service.

All of our guides speak fluent English and are native Spanish speakers. We don't currently have guides fluent in other languages. If you have a specific language need, let us know and we'll do our best to help.

Tipping isn't required but is greatly appreciated and a meaningful way to recognize your guide's effort and expertise. Guests typically tip between 10% and 20% of the tour price per group, depending on the length of the tour and how much they enjoyed the day.

We pick you up directly at your accommodation — hotel, Airbnb, or vacation rental. Your guide will park at the lobby or entrance and come find you. Share your hotel's name and address when booking. Two days before the tour you'll receive a confirmation email requesting your room number, since most hotels require the guest's name and room number to allow vehicle access to the property.

Yes. We pick up at any address in Cancún, Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen, and Tulum. If you're staying outside these main areas, just ask us and we'll confirm.

We use clean, air-conditioned tourist vans. The specific model depends on your group size and availability. Your guide and vehicle are assigned the night before your tour, and at 7:00 pm you'll receive an email with your guide's name and direct contact information so you can reach them via WhatsApp or phone. All vehicles are cleaned daily and regularly maintained.

Yes. In addition to our tours, we offer private airport transfers between Cancún International Airport and any hotel or accommodation in Cancún, Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen, and Tulum. All transfers are private — no shared shuttles, no waiting for other passengers.

Your driver will meet you in the arrivals area with a sign bearing your name, help with your luggage, and take you directly to your destination in a clean, air-conditioned vehicle. The transfer is private and goes straight to your hotel with no stops along the way.

Yes. Once your booking is confirmed, you'll receive a confirmation email with all the details: date, pick-up time, meeting point, and what to bring. Two days before the tour you'll receive a second email to confirm everything and request your room number if you're staying at a hotel. The night before the tour you'll receive a final email with your guide's name and direct contact information.

Cenotes are generally calm, clear, and safe. No prior swimming experience is needed. Your guide will explain the entry points and any relevant safety information before you go in. Life jackets are available at every cenote.

Most likely, yes. Tell us the cenote's name (or show us the photo) and we'll check if it fits within the day's route. In many cases we can substitute it or add it as an extra stop. Some cenotes require advance reservations or have limited access, so the sooner you let us know, the better.

Biodegradable sunscreen (required at most cenotes to protect the water), swimsuit, towel, water shoes or sandals, and a change of clothes. All cenotes have changing rooms and restrooms. We'll send you a complete packing list with your booking confirmation.

We aim to arrive at opening time, around 8:00 am local time. Chichén Itzá is about 2.5 hours from most hotels in the Riviera Maya, and the site is one hour behind the Riviera Maya clock — so leaving at 6:30 am gets you right there for opening. By 11:00 am the site is packed with group tour buses. Arriving early means cooler temperatures, better photos, and the chance to explore at your own pace.

On the way back from Chichén Itzá we stop to eat in Valladolid, a beautiful colonial town about 40 minutes from the ruins. We recommend an a-la-carte local restaurant — not a buffet. You order directly from the menu, the food is prepared fresh, and it reflects the authentic flavors of Yucatecan cuisine: slow-cooked meats, local spices, and handmade tortillas. It's a world apart from the standard buffet you'd find at an all-inclusive resort, and for many guests the meal in Valladolid is one of the highlights of the day. Food is not included in the tour price and is paid separately at the restaurant.
